Scuba Diving in Baru - Explore the Underwater World Near Cartagena

Go diving in the crystal-clear waters of Barú, part of the Rosario National Natural Park, and explore the incredible underwater world of Colombia’s Caribbean coast, just 45 minutes from Cartagena. This activity is perfect for both beginners and experts looking to experience the magic of diving.

Barú and the Rosario Islands provide an ideal natural environment for your first diving experience. Surrounded by the marvelous marine life that thrives in the reefs of the Caribbean Sea, you’ll enjoy two forty-minute dives during this mini diving course. The first dive will introduce you to the ocean’s wonders, swimming alongside schools of exotic fish and other aquatic life. The second dive transforms into a mystical adventure as you explore the Garden of Medusa, an underwater theme park featuring statues, sunken ships, and a variety of marine animals curiously lurking throughout the park.

The course begins with a theoretical introduction where our professional instructors will cover the basics of the sport. You’ll learn the safety drills, how to use the equipment, and practice in a pool to get comfortable with diving. Once you're ready, the only thing left to do is dive in and marvel at the beauty of the ecosystem and the warm, clear waters, which maintain a comfortable temperature even at a depth of 12 meters.
