Isla Palma day trip: White Sands and Deep Blue Waters
For those seeking a Caribbean corner that looks like a postcard, Isla Palma is the definitive choice. Known for its white sands and turquoise waters so clear they require no filters, this island is a highlight of the San Bernardo Archipelago. Considered a hidden gem of Colombia's coast, Isla Palma continues to gain popularity among those seeking less crowded alternatives to Barú.
The island offers two distinct environments to match your mood: a lively beach area filled with music and ambiance, and a tranquil zone ideal for disconnecting completely. It’s the perfect place to soak up the Caribbean sun, feel the breeze, and take in the vibrant turquoise sea. The most efficient and scenic way to get to Isla Palma from Cartagena is via direct speedboat, allowing travelers to reach this remote paradise in just under two hours.
